Our Motorbike Trip to East Africa

By Andrea Brodekova

In the last few years we discovered the beauty of travelling on motorbike. We traveled around Asia and Europe, but never been to Africa (if we don’t count Morocco which we travel to on motorbike already a few times). This year we decided to  make a motorbike trip to East Africa and travel to Kenya and Tanzania.

To save time we decided to book a motorbike online in advance. We got to the computer and started to google some rental places in Nairobi, which were not easy to find but finally we found one: iRideNairobi. So we sent an e-mail and didn’t have high expectation (based on our previous experiences from Asia). But we got nicely surprised after we received prompt answers and ever since with perfect communication either with Steve or Lenny.
They helped us with everything, rental of a motorbike, they found out for us how to cross the border to Tanzania with the motorbike, arranged all the necessary papers we needed to cross the border and gave us a loads of tips about Kenya and where to go in Kenya. This made our trip even easier.

The Motorbike

The bike we rented out, the Boxer X150, was an ideal bike for the motorbike trip. It was reliable and not so fast allowing us time to take in the scenery of the places we were passing through.  It was an off-road bike which allowed us to access the African off-track roads and discover little gems.

Thank you Lenny and Steve for perfect service and hopefully we see you again on our next trip.
